Artsy Pte. Ltd., (“Artsy”) a renovation company, entered a contract with Russell to do renovation works at Russell’s house. It was agreed that the work would be completed within 50 days. But after the hacking was completed and they had commenced some of the interior work, the company realized that it would not be possible to complete the project on time. This was because it had over committed itself to too many renovation projects, beyond their capacity. Also, Artsy was facing a shortage of workers due to the pandemic and closed borders. Artsy completely stopped work at Russell’s house as it was the least profitable project and channeled their limited resources to more lucrative projects.
