Prompt; “You don’t look back a long time but down through it, like water … Nothing goes away.” How does Atwood show a connection between the past and present in Cat’s Eye? I am currently a student at University of Melbourne and I sat VCE English as Additional Language 3&4 during 2013. Although it is outdated, I know that Cat's Eye is still a text that is being studied. I heavily relied on text response to keep my scores up and as a result I got a raw score of 44. Not amazing, but not too shabby either. Here is a practise essay I wrote exploring the chronological events of Elaine and the surrounding that affected her within time. Hopefully you will find this to be useful.
