In question 1 of Problem set 2, you have considered a process that takes steam from an initial state (P = 1 bar and T = 400°C) to a final state (P = 0.5 bar and T = 200°C) and plotted the state points on the water T-s diagram. You have also evaluated the change in internal energy for, and the work done by, the steam. You have also calculated the corresponding heat transfer to the 0.4 bar surroundings which is at 200°C. Calculate the entropy generation for this process. From your original T-s plot, is it alright for the specific entropy of the steam to decrease with the expansion process?
