Received a credit score People are associated with the in-group or the outgroup where in-group bias occurs, affecting the social inclusion and loyalty to a group. The presence of high status and low status groups in this study creates a dimension to separate members, as they can employ strategies to compensate for their position. The in-group bias university students was observed as they were assigned a high-status or a low status group before being reassigned as they completed two main rounds of awarding points to other participants. Members who changed from high status to low status increased the in-group favouritism, demonstrating the need for social inclusion despite no longer being classified as superior. The impacts of all changes made were not significant which meant the original placement of a member in a group establishes their outlook.
