Drug Offences Drug offences can involve anything from low level street dealers prosecuted under the Drug Misuse & Trafficking Act (NSW) or large scale international drug cartels importing (or attempting to import) tonnes of cocaine into Australia prosecuted by the Commonwealth DPP under the Criminal Code 1995 (Cth). The topic will focus on concepts such as "possession"; the significance of weight in the context of drug prosecutions; summary offences, "take part in" and importation offences.
