This observation book was created to help benefit the student’s knowledge, skills and understanding in the field of construction. The aim was to visit numerous residential construction sites and observe the different types of methods used throughout the industry. Areas that were addressed ranged from the preparation of a site to the framing and right through until the finished product. Pictures were taken, notes were written down and questions were asked where ever there was any uncertainty or just general interest. Overall this collaboration of the observation book was very rewarding in the fact that it furthered my knowledge and understanding of construction. It was also great to get out onto sites and actually see first hand how everything works and to see exactly what the lecturers explain.
