‘Dendrimers’ are a nanosized, radially symmetric polymer which has recently garnered increasing scientific interest due to its many unique chemical and physical characteristics. These hyper-branched, homogenous and monodisperse structures possess a symmetric core, well-defined molecular weight and a globular structure which enable the precise manipulation of molecular weight, chemical composition, and surface functionality of dendrimers. The unique properties of dendrimers make them promising new scaffolds for drug delivery and drug administration. Additionally, the application of dendrimers has advanced many drug delivery and administration methods such as the direct-transport of potent drugs such as cisplatin and doxorubicin (anti-cancer chemotherapy drugs). Hence, this investigation delves into the key concept of development.
