Society is made up of a mass number of people which help to create the social problems that are too common today. There is no constant definition of social problems however, for Australia, it can be viewed as a combination of objective and subjective norms that vary among different societies, individuals and historical periods. These norms disrupt society to a point where it is an issue in the public’s eye (Best, 2015). An example of a sociological issue is homelessness, this issue can impact multiple individuals and societies. Homelessness has been a significant social issue in Australia for generations and can be defined as the state of having no conventional accommodation, individuals having constant change of temporary shelter or location and having living circumstances of accommodation that falls below community standards
