Introduction In recent years there has been a steady decline in breakfast cereals as consumers are opting for more convenient ways to eat breakfast. According to a Euromonitor article, sales have increased in ready to eat breakfast bars, drinks, and yogurts (Hoşafçı, 2014). There has also been a rise in more health-conscious consumers who are opting for nutritious breakfasts’ resulting in an increase in healthier options such as oats and granola and a decline in sugary children’s cereal’s such as Froot Loops and Coco Pops (Hudson, 2012) This situational analysis will evaluate current marketplace trends and display an understanding of the internal and external factors that are affecting the Kellogg’s brand.
